New KCB To Mpesa Charges 2024

The ability to transfer funds between your KCB (Kenya Commercial Bank) account and M-Pesa, a popular mobile money service in Kenya, offers convenience and flexibility for financial transactions. In 2020, during the Pandemic, transfer charges between mobile to bank were dropped just to help citizens. But late last year, in 2022, the Central Bank of Kenya announced that they are bringing back transfer charges. So, whenever you send money from KCB (which is a bank) to Mpesa, the transaction will attract some fees.

Effective on January 1, 2023, any money transfer from the bank to a mobile money wallet like Mpesa, attracts charges. In this article, we will go through all the new KCB to Mpesa charges.

The fees listed above apply to KCB transfers to M-Pesa and other mobile banking wallets. You should note that all other banking platforms will have different transaction charges while sending money to M-Pesa and other mobile wallets. Although the transactions are free in the past, effective from 2023, you will start receiving recurring charges when you send money from any bank to Mpesa.
